Whole30 and the Instant Pot go together like peas and carrots. Which, ironically, are not both Whole30 compliant but are both things you can cook in your Instant Pot. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. When crafting perfect Whole30 Instant Pot Recipes you need to start with a good foundation of knowledge about both parts.

Whole30 is an elimination diet that removes a lot of foods that cause inflammation and other negative reactions. For 30 days you remove dairy, grains, legumes, sugar, and alcohol. Yup, no drinking either. Hang in there, there’s a good reason to do this.

Ideally, after the 30 days of not eating these things, you’ll reintroduce one food group at a time to see if your body has any negative reactions to it. In reality, most people use it as a kick-start to weight loss and on day 31 eat all the things they couldn’t eat. Again, it’s up to you.

Removing dairy, grains, legumes (even peanut butter!), sugar, and alcohol from your life is doable, but it often means your current rotation of meals is no longer an option. And if you’re already giving up the comfort foods, you don’t want to spend too much time finding all the new things to eat.

And this is where the Instant Pot comes into play. The most popular programmable pressure cooker makes things so much easier in the kitchen. From cooking frozen meat to hard-boiling eggs to complete meals made in a single pot, the Instant Pot is the perfect accessory to a Whole 30.

Here are our favorite Whole30 Instant Pot recipes. Cooked, some on an almost weekly basis, in a 6qt Instant Pot during several rounds of Whole30 and enjoyed by a real-life family.

Buffalo Chicken Dip by Paleo Running Momma

Do you like buffalo chicken dip? You know that creamy, deliciously scoopable dip that shows up at super bowl parties and other events. You can make it Whole30 compliant, which may be dipping into the sex-with-your-pants-on part of the Whole30 rules, but you do you. Eat this with celery and carrots, or over a sweet potato, or in a bowl while hiding from your children. We don’t judge.

Chili by Wholesome Yum

This chili is super easy to make and makes a large batch. If you do a lot of chili and love leftovers, consider doubling the recipe. It freezes well and is great for breakfast with a fried egg on top. For an extra tip in making this easy to assemble, brown the meat in advance and premix the spices so you can literally dump and go.
